What E.D.G.E. Is All About

Vision:

To provide biblical solutions to promote personal success in the lives of youth, while supporting the family’s efforts to lay a foundation in God’s word, so that they will recognize their need for Christ and grow in relationship with Him.

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (Romans 12:1, 2 NLT)”

Mission:

Dedicated to developing the core principles of:

1      Educating – The entire book of Proverbs educates us to seek after wisdom and understanding.  Joshua 22:5 reminds us to “hold fast to the Lord and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

2      Discipling – Jesus’ last instruction was to make disciples of all nations and to teach them to obey everything that He commanded (Matthew 28:18-20).  Whether we are discipling others or being discipled, discipleship is a continual process that takes us to our 3rd core principle.

3      Growing – 1 Corinthians 13:11 says, “When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.”  We are to train the youth to not only grow spiritually, but physically, socially, and emotionally.

4      Evangelizing – In Matthew 5:13 – 16, Jesus referred to us as the “salt of the earth” and the “light of the world”.  We are to let our light shine before others, that they may see our good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven. It is our responsibility to E-ducate, D-isciple, and G-row this generation so they will be equipped to E-vangelize the Gospel of Truth.
